Lane and Ramp Closures Scheduled for Portion of I-435 Jan. 13-17

JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation will be completing a variety of work that will require the CLOSURE of various lanes and ramps along I-435 between Three Trails Crossing to State Line next week beginning on Monday, Jan. 13. These closures will have impacts to traffic. The information on the closures is listed below by date range. All work is weather permitting.

Monday, Jan. 13 – Friday, Jan. 17

  • Crews will CLOSE the auxiliary lane of eastbound I-435 between State Line Rd. and Wornall Rd. beginning at 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. for sound wall construction on Monday, Jan. 16.
    • The State Line on ramp to eastbound I-435 and the I-435 off ramp to Wornall Rd. will remain open.

Tuesday, Jan. 14

  • In addition to the auxiliary lane along eastbound I-435, crews will also CLOSE the two right most lanes along eastbound I-435 going across the State Line bridge starting at 9 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m. for pavement repairs on Tuesday, Jan. 14.
    • This will also require the CLOSURE of the loop ramp from southbound State Line Rd. to eastbound I-435.

Motorists should expect delays during this time. The project is scheduled to be completed sometime in spring 2020. All work is weather permitting.

This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project which will replace the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitate the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, upgrade the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane.
