What: Route 32 bridge OPEN to traffic west of Stockton
When: 8:30 a.m., Thursday, January 9
Details: Contractor crews connected Route 32 to newly straightened roadway where new bridge was built
Project details:
- Project replaced old bridge with new longer and wider bridge west of Stockton
- Contractor also built a new section of Route 32 to eliminate four sharp curves approaching the bridge
- Total cost to replace the bridge: $3.8 million
- Prime contractor: Capital Paving & Construction LLC, Jefferson City
