Walnut Street in Columbia to Undergo ADA Improvement Work Next Week

COLUMBIA – As part of the ongoing Route 763/College Avenue sidewalk and pedestrian improvements project in Columbia, access will be limited to Walnut Street starting next week.

This lane closure will allow contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation to perform sidewalk improvement work that will bring the sidewalks into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Beginning Wednesday, January 8, the westbound lane of Walnut Street at College Avenue will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until the work is completed. Properties along Walnut Street will still be accessible.

Work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
