JACKSON COUNTY –MoDOT Kansas City will continue pavement work at the I-435 and I-70 interchange this week. This work will include lane and ramp closures. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, leave early, or consider an alternate route if necessary. All work is weather permitting.
- Southbound I-435 will be reduced to one lane from U.S. 40 Highway to Stadium Drive for paving operations beginning at 7 a.m. until approximately 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21.
- The ramp from eastbound I-70 to southbound I-435 will be closed for paving operations beginning at 7 a.m. until approximately noon on Sunday, Dec. 22. Motorists will need to find alternate routes during this time.
This is all part of the I-435 and I-70 construction project and it will have significant impacts on traffic for two full construction seasons.
