The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of December 16 – December 27, 2019. Scheduled projects will not take place on Wednesday, December 25 due to the Christmas Holiday. The projects listed will include lane closures that could cause traffic delays. Full roadway closures are also noted. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule.

Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.
Boone County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 in Boone, Callaway, Cooper Counties – Pavement improvements will take place at various locations in the eastbound and westbound lanes. The project is scheduled for completion late December.
Daylight Hours
Route 163 (Providence Road) between Interstate 70 and Route K – Signal upgrades, sidewalk repair and ADA improvements in various locations continue. The project is scheduled for completion in August, 2020.
Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) between Route 63 and Route 763 (College Boulevard) – Crack sealing will take place Monday, December 16 through Friday, December 20.
Route 763 (College Avenue) between Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) and Business Loop 70 –Signal upgrades, sidewalk repair and ADA improvements in various locations continue. The project is scheduled for completion in late December.
Route 163 (Providence Road) between Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) and Champions Drive – Inspection of the pedestrian bridge will take place Monday, December 16 through Friday, December 20. One lane in each direction will be closed during the inspection.
Callaway County

Route 54 between Key Largo Road and Spring Valley Road – Utility work will take place in the westbound lanes Monday, December 16 through Friday, December 20.

Route 42 between Route 54 and Route A in Miller County – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, December 9 through Friday, December 20.
Cole County

Route 135 between Chouteau Springs Road and School Street – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will continue to take place the week of December 16. Closures are likely throughout the work area. Motorists are advised to follow message boards and road signs around the work area.
Route B between Eckerle Lane and Kelly Springs Lane – Brush cutting will take place Monday, December 23 and Tuesday, December 24.

Route YY between Route M and Route 68 in Phelps County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, December 16 through Friday, December 27.
