JOHNSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the median crossing at County Road 1751 and U.S. Route 50 from Dec. 9 through Jan. 3. Motorists will need to find an alternate route.
During this closure, MoDOT will construct a new median crossing as well as deceleration lanes in the median for both eastbound and westbound Route 50. All work is weather dependent.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
