JOHNSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will reopen the Route E bridge over Black Jack Creek on Wednesday, Nov. 27. MoDOT crews widened the one-lane bridge to create two lanes.
The bridge over Black Jack Creek is located 4.7 miles west of Route 23 and was built in 1936. It is among the 10,400 bridges Missouri maintains.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
