Highway Commission to Meet Wednesday, December 4, in Lee's Summit

Public Invited to Attend

LEES SUMMIT – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission will hold its monthly meeting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Kansas City District office at 600 NE Colbern Road, Lee’s Summit, MO. 

Many items will be on this month’s agenda including public presentations from the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce to discuss regional projects and needs, the Mid-America Regional Council to discuss local needs and concerns, SmartPort will discuss economic development and PortKC.

“We are pleased to welcome the Commission back to the Kansas City region,” said District Engineer Dave Silvester. “We are interested in sharing more about the area’s strong partnerships and its future transportation needs. We invite anyone who is interested to attend this meeting.”

The Commission holds meetings in Jefferson City for five months, while the legislature is in session; the other seven months Commission meetings are held throughout the state.
