TRAFFIC ALERT:

U.S. 160/Beaver Creek Bridge Repairs Start Tuesday, Nov. 26, with Completion Planned by Mid-December

Kissee Mills,Taney County – Repairs on the U.S. Route 160 bridge over Beaver Creek east of Kissee Mills will start on Tuesday, Nov. 26, and could last into mid-December, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The bridge was closed to traffic on Friday, Nov. 22, after a routine safety inspection showed major deterioration to the support structure on the bridge. Concrete bridge columns that support two of the four girders were severely deteriorated.

MoDOT crews will repair the damaged areas of the bridge and are committed to reopening the bridge as soon as possible.

Drivers are urged to use Missouri Routes 125 and 76 to get around the closed bridge.

The existing bridge was built in 1953 and carries approximately 2,000 vehicles a day.

(Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule)
