ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, Missouri Department of Transportation crews will close the Interstate 229 Double-Decker Bridge for routine bridge maintenance. For the safety of both motorists and workers, the bridge and all ramps will remain closed between U.S. Route 36 and Highland Avenue through the afternoon of Tuesday, Nov. 26. All closures will remain in place overnight.
All work is weather permitting and could be rescheduled. During the closure, motorists will need to use an alternate route.
As always, please buckle up, eliminate distractions including phones, and be an attentive, safe driver so everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
