Lane and Ramp Closures Scheduled for I-435 Near Three Trails Crossing Next Week as Crews Inch Closer to Opening ALL Five Lanes

JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation crews are completing concrete paving and bridge work beginning this Friday, Nov. 15 throughout next week that will impact both directions of I-435 near Three Trails Crossing. This work will include the opening of ALL FIVE LANES along eastbound and westbound I-435 between Three Trails Crossing and State Line. Motorists should still expect various lane closures the coming weeks after the opening as crews works to complete the project. All work is weather permitting. 

Friday, Nov. 15

  • Crews will CLOSE the left most lane of eastbound I-435 from State Line Rd. to the Blue River beginning at 5 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15 until 7 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16 for pavement construction. Traffic will be reduced to three lanes during rush hour.
  • Crews will CLOSE the left most lane of westbound I-435 from Three Trails Crossing to State Line beginning at 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily for pavement construction.

Saturday, Nov. 16 – Sunday, Nov. 17

  • Crews will CLOSE the two outermost lanes of eastbound I-435 between State Line and the Blue River beginning on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7 a.m. until approximately 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17. This closure is for pavement marking work.
    • There will be short term closures of the on and off ramps along eastbound I-435 at State Line Rd., Wornall Rd., and Holmes Rd. in order to tie the pavement markings to the final configuration.
    • Once this work is complete, ALL FIVE LANES of eastbound I-435 will be OPEN.
      • There will be various lane closures throughout the coming weeks in order to finish up signage work.

Monday, Nov. 18 and Tuesday, Nov. 19

  • Crews will CLOSE the left most lane of eastbound I-435 from State Line Rd. to the Blue River beginning at 5 a.m. until 2 p.m. daily for pavement construction.
    • Crews will CLOSE the left most lane of westbound I-435 from Three Trails Crossing to State Line beginning at 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily for pavement construction.

Wednesday, Nov. 20

  • Crews will CLOSE the left most lane of eastbound I-435 from State Line Rd. to the Blue River beginning at 5 a.m. until 2 p.m. daily for pavement construction.
  • Crews will CLOSE the left most lane of westbound I-435 from Three Trails Crossing to State Line beginning at 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily for pavement construction.
  • Crews will also closed ALL LANES of northbound and southbound Holmes Rd. between eastbound and westbound I-435 on ramps beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m. for resurfacing work.

Thursday, Nov. 21, and Friday, Nov. 22

  • Crews will CLOSE the left most lane of eastbound I-435 from State Line Rd. to the Blue River beginning at 5 a.m. until 2 p.m. daily for pavement construction.
    • Crews will CLOSE the left most lane of westbound I-435 from Three Trails Crossing to State Line beginning at 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily for pavement construction.

Saturday, Nov. 23 – Sunday, Nov. 24

  • Crews will CLOSE the two outermost lanes of westbound I-435 between the Blue River State Line beginning on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7 a.m. until approximately 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24. This closure is for pavement marking work.
    • There will be short term closures of the on and off ramps along westbound I-435 at State Line Rd., Wornall Rd., Holmes Rd., and 104th in order to tie the pavement markings to the final configuration.
    • Once this work is complete, ALL FIVE LANES of westbound I-435 will be OPEN.
      • There will be various lane closures throughout the coming weeks in order to finish up signage work.

This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project which will replace the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitate the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, upgrade the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane.
