JACKSON COUNTY –MoDOT Kansas City will CLOSE the ramp from eastbound I-70 to southbound I-435 TONIGHT, Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for temporary barrier placement as part of the construction work at the I-435 and I-70 interchange. Motorists must find alternate routes at this time.
This week’s construction work includes ramp and various lane closures. It will have impacts to traffic. Motorists are advised to plan ahead, leave early, or consider an alternate route. All work is weather permitting.
- Wednesday, Nov. 6
- Crews will CLOSE the ramp from eastbound I-70 to southbound I-435 TONIGHT, Wednesday, Nov. 6, for temporary barrier placement
- Daily Work Monday, Nov. 4 through Friday, Nov. 8
- Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, crews will reduce the ramp from westbound I-70 to northbound I-435 to ONE LANE for lighting installation. This lane closure will last all week.
- Nightly Work Monday, Nov. 4 through Wednesday, Nov. 6
- Eastbound I-70 will be reduced to ONE LANE between U.S. Highway 40 and Stadium Drive for overhang removal beginning at 7 p.m. nightly until 5 a.m. the following mornings. There will be intermittent rolling slowdowns throughout the night.
- Westbound I-70 will be reduced to ONE LANE between Blue Ridge Cutoff and Manchester Trafficway for overhang removal beginning at 7 p.m. nightly until 5 a.m. the following mornings. There will be intermittent rolling slowdowns throughout the night.
