St. Louis Work Zones for Oct. 31 - Nov. 6

ST. LOUIS - Drivers heading to Illinois across the Interstate 55/Interstate 64 Mississippi River Bridge (the Poplar Street Bridge) this weekend should consider alternate routes or expect delays as crews will close three left lanes on the eastbound bridge.

The Illinois Department of Transportation will close three lanes on the bridge starting at 7 p.m. Friday, November 1, to make repairs to the interstate. During that work, MoDOT will also make repairs to a bridge joint on the east side of the bridge.

All lanes are expected to reopen before 3 p.m. Monday, November 4.

Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

  • I-44, St. Louis City, one westbound lane closed from Jefferson to Grand through December.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, two westbound lanes closed from Grand to Macklind through December.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, the ramp from Vandeventer to westbound I-44 is closed through December.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, one eastbound lane closed from Hampton to Grand through December.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, the left lane on westbound between Kingshighway and Hampton is closed until November.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, the ramp from 14th Street to westbound I-64 closed until mid-November.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, one lane closed eastbound from west of Meramec River and Geyer until early November.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, one lane closed westbound between I-270 and Bowles through early 2022.
  • Route 67, St. Louis County, northbound ramp to Dorsett Road closed until late October.
  • Route 109, St. Louis County, the left turn lane is closed on the bridge over Route 100 until summer 2020.
  • Route 79, St. Charles County, one lane eastbound and westbound will be closed on Salt River Road over Route 79 until early December.
  • Route 370, St. Charles County, lanes shifts on westbound Route 370 through fall.
  • Route T, St. Charles County, between Route 00 and Route M is closed until late December.
  • Route H, Franklin County, the Route H Bridge over the Bourbeuse River is closed until late December.
