Route CC culvert replacement begins tomorrow

ROCK PORT, Mo. – Route CC in Atchison County has been closed since the end of March due to a culvert failure near the Iowa border. Crews from Widel, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will begin work tomorrow, Oct. 30, at noon, to replace the damaged culvert. Local traffic may utilize the roadway up to the damaged culvert, which is located between 110th Street and 552 Road. They plan to have all work completed and the road reopened to through traffic on or before Dec. 1, 2019. Motorists will need to use an alternate route during the closure.

MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
