Striping planned for two routes this weekend

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to stripe Route 111 in Holt County and Route 371 in Buchanan County. A moving operation to stripe these routes is planned for Sunday, Oct. 27 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Motorists will experience a brief lane closure around the striping operation. Alert vehicles will travel with the moving operation to advise motorists of the upcoming lane closure and the need to reduce speed. The striping is planned for Route 111 between Route T in Forest City and U.S. Route 59 in Oregon and for Route 371 between Route 752 in St. Joseph and the Platte County line.

Motorists can expect delays during the planned striping and may want to choose an alternate route. All work is weather and subject to change.

MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
