Route 63 Bridge Repairs Will Temporarily Close Lanes in Columbia

COLUMBIA – Missouri Department of Transportation crews will be fixing a bridge joint on northbound U.S. Route 63 over Interstate 70 in Columbia this weekend.

Beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, the driving lane of the Route 63 bridge over I-70 will be closed to traffic. Once repairs in that lane are complete, crews will close the passing lane at the same location to make more repairs to the bridge. One lane will be open at all times to traffic.

The northbound Route 63 bridge repairs will be completed by Friday, November 1.

Motorists will need to slow down, use caution, and pay attention in the work zone. There will be signage in place to warn drivers of the closed lane ahead.

Work is weather permitting, and could be delayed.
