MoDOT to host public hearing for Route 61/67 improvement project

From north of Meramec River to south of Collier Drive

JEFFERSON COUNTY– The Missouri Department of Transportation will be hosting a public hearing on Thursday, October 24 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Arnold City Hall located at 2102 Jeffco Blvd. The public hearing will be an opportunity to discuss the improvement project for Route 61/67 from north of the Meramec River to south of Collier Drive.

At the hearing, attendees will receive information about the project that will involve resurfacing, guardrail upgrades, & ADA improvements. MoDOT officials will be present to answer questions and discuss project details.

The proposed project is expected to span across two and a half miles. MoDOT will resurface pavement in the area and upgrade guardrail to meet the current safety standards. MoDOT will also upgrade the existing pedestrian facilities.

No formal presentations will be made during the open house-style hearing. The public may stop by at any time during the advertised hours and speak with the MoDOT and consultant staff about the project.

The public will be able to fill out an open-ended comment form during or after the meeting and submit comments to MoDOT staff.
