Online Comment Period Scheduled for Callaway/Cole County Bridge Maintenance Project

CALLAWAY/COLE COUNTIES -- The Missouri Department of Transportation is seeking feedback from the public on an upcoming preventative maintenance project on three bridges located in Callaway and Cole Counties.

The bridges undergoing maintenance are the Callaway County Route AE bridge over U.S. Route 54, the Missouri Route 94 bridge over Little Tavern Creek in Callaway County and the West Main Street bridge over Route 54 in Cole County.

The three bridges are in need of new deck surface overlays, as well as other routine maintenance measures, to maintain good condition, and to prevent deck deterioration.

Construction is scheduled to take place on all three bridges in 2020.

The total project cost is an estimated $550,000.
