ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Local crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close the southbound Interstate 229 ramp to eastbound U.S. Route 36 on Friday, Oct. 18 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for bridge deck sealing. This work will also include a closure of the driving lane on eastbound U.S. Route 36 from I-229 to just west of 22nd Street for sealing and for the safety of both the work crew and the traveling public.
All work is weather permitting. Motorists will need to use an alternate route during the closure. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
