Pavement Work Will Cause Interstate Closure at I-435 to I-29 in Platte County

Traffic Alert: Pavement Work Will Cause Interstate Closure at I-435 to I-29 in Platte County

PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close Interstate 435 northbound to Interstate 29 northbound beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11 until 2 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 for asphalt pavement work. Motorists can follow the posted detour, which is the flyover ramp onto Route D, traveling through one traffic signal, and then turning right at the next signal onto northbound I-29. All work is weather dependent.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
