HOWARD COUNTY -- The Missouri Department of Transportation is holding an online meeting to share information about an upcoming re-deck and stream stabilization project on the Route EE bridge over Prairie Creek in Howard County.
The Route EE bridge is located north of Rocheport. The bridge was built in 1966. The condition of the bridge deck has reached a point where its re-decking is necessary. There will also be stream stabilization work during the project along the north bank of the channel.
During construction, Route EE will be closed at the bridge location for up to two months. Signs will alert motorists of alternate routes.
This bridge is included in Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program passed by the Missouri General Assembly during its 2019 session. The program appropriated $50 million in state general revenue to fund 45 high priority bridge projects throughout the state. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2020.
The total project cost is an estimated $518,000.
The online meeting comment period will run from October 3 to October 17.
