St. Louis Work Zones for Oct. 3-9

ST. LOUIS – Drivers on southbound I-55 in St. Louis City should be prepared for an overnight closure of the interstate at Interstate 44 on Sunday night.

Crews will close all lanes of the southbound interstate at 11 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, to replace signs over the interstate. Detours for the closure will be marked.

Southbound I-55 will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.

In addition, drivers in the city should be aware of several daytime ramp closures along I-64 for bridge overlay work.

The current ramp closure schedule is:

  • Tuesday, October 8, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., the ramp from eastbound I-64 to 14th Street. The ramp to Pine will also close, for safety.
  • Wednesday, October 9, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., the ramp from eastbound I-64 to 11th Street.
  • Thursday, October 10, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., the ramp from eastbound I-64 to 6th Street and the ramp from Broadway to westbound I-64.
  • Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day, the ramp from 10th Street to westbound I-64.

Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

  • I-44, St. Louis City, one westbound lane closed from Jefferson to Grand through December.
  • I-44, St. Louis, two westbound lanes closed from Grand to Macklind through December.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, one eastbound lane closed from Hampton to Grand through December
  • I-44, St. Louis City, the ramp from Vandeventer to westbound I-44 is closed through December.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, the ramp from 14th Street to westbound I-64 closed until mid-November.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, one lane closed eastbound from west of Meramec River and Geyer until early November.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, one lane closed westbound between I-270 and Bowles through early 2022.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, westbound Watson ramp onto I-270 is closed until late October.
  • Route 67, St. Louis County, the ramp from Dorsett-Midland to southbound is closed until Wednesday.
  • Route 67, St. Louis County, the ramp from southbound to Dorsett-Midland is closed until late October.
  • Route 109, St. Louis County, the left turn lane is closed on the bridge over Route 100 until summer 2020.
  • Route 79, St. Charles County, one lane eastbound and westbound will be closed on Salt River Road over Route 79 until early December.
  • Route 370, St. Charles County, one left lane eastbound and westbound closed through fall.
  • Route B, St. Charles County, Route B between Hodges Club Road and Kampsville Road is closed until early October.
  • Route T, St. Charles County, 7 a.m. between Route M and Route N will close until late December.
  • Route H, Franklin County, the Route H Bridge over the Bourbeuse River is closed until late December.
