ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Maintenance crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to continue bridge maintenance work tomorrow on several ramps in the U.S. Route 36 and Interstate 229 interchange area. The following ramps are expected to close for two-hour periods on Wednesday, Oct. 2, weather permitting:
- Westbound U.S. Route 36 to northbound Route 759
- Northbound Route 759 to westbound U.S. Route 36
- Southbound I-229 to eastbound U.S. Route 36
- Eastbound U.S. Route 36 to southbound Route 759
- Eastbound U.S. Route 36 to southbound I-229
If weather prohibits the bridge maintenance work, it will be rescheduled for Thursday, Oct. 3. More ramp maintenance will be scheduled, as weather allows. Motorists who regularly use the ramps in the area where U.S. Route 36 and I-229 come together should check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map daily at www.traveler.modot.org/map before their commute.
