Downtown Columbia Street to Close for Sidewalk Project

COLUMBIA -- As part of the ongoing Route 763/College Avenue sidewalk and pedestrian improvements project in Columbia, the entrance of Windsor Street at the intersection of Route 763 (College Avenue) will be closing to traffic next week.

The closure will allow crews to perform sidewalk improvement work that is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the entrance to the roadway on the morning of September 30 and plan to re-open the entrance on October 4.

All properties along Windsor Street will still be accessible to traffic. Motorists wanting to access College Avenue from Melbourne Street will need to use East Walnut Street or Hinkson Avenue to Paris Road.

All work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
