for Addition of Climbing Lanes on Interstate 70 at Mineola Hill

Public Comments Accepted Until October 28, 2019

HANNIBAL – As part of the planning stages for the addition of a climbing lane in both the east and westbound lanes of Interstate 70 at Mineola Hill, the Missouri Department of Transportation is accepting public comments as part of a re-evaluation of an environmental assessment completed in 2005.

The results of that study can be found at improvei70.org/environmental_6.htm. Individuals or organizations wishing to comment can do so by emailing christopher.knapp@modot.mo.gov, calling 1-888-ASK-MODOT or through MoDOT Northeast District Twitter at MoDOT_Northeast and Facebook at MoDOT Northeast District. Comments must be submitted before Wednesday, October 28, 2019.

This process is part of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of the 2005 Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Second Tier Final Environmental Assessment (EA) of the Segment of Independent Utility 6 for the addition of climbing lanes at Mineola Hill.

MoDOT expects the re-evaluation to be completed in February 2020.
