MoDOT to shift Route 109 traffic to new portion of bridge Thursday

ST. LOUIS – Drivers on Route 109 at Route 100 should be prepared for traffic changes as crews will shift Route 109 onto the new roadway on the bridge over Route 100 Thursday, weather permitting.

On Thursday, September 26, crews will shift the northbound lanes onto the new section of bridge at 7 a.m., and will shift the southbound lanes onto the new section of bridge after the morning rush. Drivers will still be able to make all the traffic movements currently available between northbound and southbound Route 109 and Route 100.

If weather conditions prohibit crews from placing new striping on Thursday, the shift will get moved to Friday.

The yearlong project widens and puts a new deck on the Route 109 bridge over Route 100, and makes several intersection improvements between that bridge and Manchester Road in Wildwood.
