Lane Closures Planned: Paving Along I-435 from Three Trails Crossing to State Line Road Continues

JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation crews are completing concrete paving and bridge work over the next week that will impact I-435.

Daily, Monday, Sept. 23 through Friday, Sept. 27:  Crews continue paving the new lanes down the center barrier and will close the following lanes daily:

  • Inside left lane of eastbound I-435 from State Line Road to Blue River Bridge from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Inside left lane of westbound I-435 from the Three Trails Crossing to State Line Road from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Additional closures may occur on Wednesday for pavement marking. That will be a moving operation as crews stripe final lanes. Please watch out for slow-moving vehicles and truck-mounted attenuators during pavement marking.

Commuters can scout your route in advance at www.kcscout.net to review traffic impacts and consider any alternative routes. Also review the planned work on MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map at traveler.modot.org. All work is weather dependent.

This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project which will replace the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitate the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, upgrade the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane.
