Road Work for Mid-Missouri

September 16 - 27, 2019

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of September 16– September 27, 2019. The projects listed will include lane closures that could cause traffic delays. Full roadway closures are also noted. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 63 over Gans Creek, south of Discovery Parkway – Bridge rehabilitation in the northbound lanes continues. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route 63 between Route 763 and the Randolph County line – Pavement improvements continue.

Daylight Hours
Route 163 between Route H and Route K – Rumble strip installation and pavement marking will continue. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 163 (Providence Road) between Interstate 70 and Route K – Signal upgrades, sidewalk repair and ADA improvements in various locations continue. The project is scheduled for completion in August, 2020.

Route 763 (College Avenue) between Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) and Business Loop 70 – Signal upgrades, sidewalk repair and ADA improvements in various locations continue. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route Y between Route M and Route J in Callaway County – Pavement striping and roadside maintenance will continue. The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Callaway County
Overnight Hours
Route 63 at Route 54 – Bridge sealing on the eastbound exit ramp is scheduled to take place Sunday, September 15 and Monday. September 16. The exit ramp will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.

Interstate 70 between mile marker 152 and mile marker 160 – Median drain replacement will begin the week of September 16.

Route 54 between Interstate 70 and Auxvasse Creek – Median drain replacement will begin the week of September 16.

Route 63 over the Katy Trail, south Claysville Road – Bridge rehabilitation in the northbound lanes continues. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route O between Route D and State Street – Resurfacing, shoulder additions and ADA improvements continue.  The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route Y between Route J and Route M in Boone County – Pavement striping and roadside maintenance continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Camden County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 54 and Pier Thirty-One Road – Roadside maintenance continues. The project is scheduled for in November. 

Route 54 between Jeffries Road and Passover Road – Shoulder repair in the eastbound lanes will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 19.


Cole County
Overnight Hours
Route 50 at Route 54 – Bridge sealing on the eastbound exit ramp is scheduled to take place Sunday, September 15 and Monday, September 16. The exit ramp will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.

Route 54 at Business Route 50 (Missouri Boulevard) – Bridge sealing on the eastbound exit ramp is scheduled to take place Sunday, September 15 and Monday. September 16. The exit ramp will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.

Route C between Route 54 and Route 52 in Morgan County – Microsurfacing, milling and resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 63 between Route 50 and Route 28 in Maries County – Concrete improvements continue. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route J between Route M and Fourth Street – Pavement improvements will take place Monday, September 16 and Thursday September 26.

Route W between Route B and Bend Road – Pavement improvements will take place Monday, September 16 and Thursday September 26.

Route Y between Route M between Big Meadows Road – Pavement improvements will take place Monday, September 16 and Thursday September 26.


Cooper County
Daylight /Overnight Hours
Route 87 between Route 5 and Route O in Moniteau County – Microsurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in late September.


Crawford County
Daylight Hours
Route 19 between Interstate 44 Outer Road and Main Street – ADA improvements continue. The project is scheduled for completion in December.

Route 19 between Route 8 and Old Cuba Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 26.

Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement marking will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 19.

Route 19 between Grand Drive and the Gasconade County line – ADA improvements continue. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route 49 between 19 and Route 32 in Iron County – Microsurfacing and shoulder widening continues. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route M between Route 8 and Route YY – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 26.

Route N between Route J and Route 185 in Washington County – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 19.

Route P at Lantz Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 19.

Route Z between Route 19 and Route F – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 19.

Route HH between Route 19 and Sig Bass Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 26.

Route TT between Route 8 and Liberty Road – Drainage repair will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 26.

Route VV between Route 19 and Route M – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 26.

Route ZZ between Route 19 and Frontage Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 19.


Dent County
Daylight Hours
Route 19 between Third Street and Fifth Street – Pavement improvements will take place on Wednesday, September 18.

Route 32 between Route W and Garnett Industrial Drive – Pavement improvements will take place Tuesday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 18.

Route H between Route 72 and Route C – Pavement improvements will take place on Monday, September 16.


Gasconade County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route T over Bourbeuse River – New bridge construction continues. The bridge is closed until December.


Howard County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 87 between Route 5 and Route 40 – Rumble strip installations and roadside maintenance continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Daylight Hours
Route 124 between Route 240 and Route Y – Drainage repair will take place Monday, September 23 through Thursday, September 26.

Route Y between Route 124 and County Road 135 – Pavement improvements will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 19.


Laclede County
Daylight /Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between the Webster County line and the Pulaski County line – Pavement improvements will take place at various locations.

Interstate 44 between mile marker 145 and mile marker 156 – Guardrail installation will take place in the eastbound and westbound lanes the week of September 16.

Interstate 44 Outer Road over the Gasconade River, west of Route 133 –Bridge replacement is complete. Occasional lane closures are possible for cleanup work. The project is scheduled for completion late September.

Route O between Route 5 and Route 95 - Roadway patching will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 26.

Interstate 44 Outer Road between Route N and Mill Creek Road – Pavement improvements will begin on Monday, September 23. The project is expected to be completed in November.


Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route V between Route 42 and Route N – Pavement improvements will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 19.

Route 63 between Route 28 and Route 50 in Cole County – Pavement improvements continue. The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Miller County
Daylight Hours
Route EE between Route 17 and Route U – Pavement improvements will take place on Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 26.


Moniteau County
Daylight Hours
Route 87 between Route O and Route 5 in Cooper County – Microsurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in late September.

Route C between Route 54 in Cole County and Route 52 in Morgan County – Microsurfacing, milling and resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route F between Route 87 and Route E – Pavement improvements will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 19.


Morgan County

Route C between Route 52 and Route 54 in Cole County – Microsurfacing, milling and resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Osage County
Daylight Hours
Route 63 between Route 50 in Cole County and Route 28 in Maries County – Asphalt paving and guardrail installation continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route C between Route 100 and Route A – Chip sealing and guardrail installation is underway. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route W between Route 50 and Route A – Chip sealing and guardrail installation continues. The project is scheduled for completion in October.


Phelps County
Overnight Hours
Route 63 between Interstate 44 and Route CC – Roadway resurfacing and sidewalk repair continues. The right turn lane in the southbound lane, between Oak Lane Drive and Fort Wyman Road will be closed through the week of September 16. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Daylight Hours
Route B at County Road 1400 – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, September 16 through Friday, September 20. County Road 1400 will be closed at that intersection through the week. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route C between Interstate 44 and County Road 8490 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, September 16 and Thursday, September 26.

Route E between Route 63 and Route A – Pavement improvements will take place the week of September 16.

Route O between Route 72 and County Road 5480 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, September 16 and Thursday, September 26.

Route BB at Forum Drive – Sidewalk and ADA improvements will continue.

Route BB between Route 8 and Tenth Street – Paving and shoulder work continues.


Pulaski County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route H between Route 17 and the end of state maintenance – Roadway resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route Z between Business Loop 44 and Route J – Roadway resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Interstate 44 Spur between Route Y and Gateway Circle – Pavement milling and resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Daylight Hours
Route N between Route 133 and Crocker Road – Pavement improvements will take place Wednesday, September 25 and Thursday, September 26.


Washington County
Daylight Hours
Route C between Route 21 and Route Y – Pavement improvements will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 19.

Route N between Route 185 and Route J in Crawford County – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 19.
