ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Concrete repairs will close a section of U.S. Route 59 next week. Local maintenance crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation will close U.S. Route 59 from just north of Route K to Venture Avenue beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The road will remain closed overnight, allowing the concrete to cure, and is expected to reopen by 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Motorists should seek an alternate route during the closure. All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely through work zones to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
