Bridge Work Planned for Routes in Macon County

MACON - Weather permitting, MoDOT will be doing bridge work on the following routes in Macon County. Please see the dates and locations below.

Missouri Route 3 - Sept. 23, traffic will be reduced to one lane from old U.S. Route 36 to Golden Avenue for work on the bridge over U.S. Route 36.  The work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. that day.

U.S. Route 36 - Sept. 24, traffic will be reduced to one lane on the westbound side near Macon County Route O for work on the Middle Fork Chariton River Bridge.  The work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. that day. There will be a 14 foot width restriction in place.

U.S. Route 36 - Sept. 24, traffic will be reduced to one lane on the westbound side from Missouri Route 129 to just west of MO 129 for work on Brush Creek Bridge.  The work will be completed between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. that day. There will be a 14 foot width restriction in place.

Please use caution if you will be traveling through these areas, and remember to obey all work zone signs and personnel. Put down your cell phone to help eliminate distractions.
