Intersection Improvement Planned for Route 37 &

Route 60 in Monett Beginning Week of Sept. 16

Monett – Drivers can expect lane shifts and traffic delays during work to add a southbound right turn lane at the Missouri Route 37 and U.S. Route 60 intersection in Monett beginning the week of September 16, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The project includes:

  • Widening the Route 37 bridge over Clear Creek north of Route 60 from its current 52 feet to 60 feet
  • Adding a 12-foot wide right-turn lane and a six-foot wide shoulder on southbound Route 37 between Dairy Street and Route 60

Contractor crews will conduct most of the work during daytime hours Monday through Friday. However, some work involving lane closures may be done at night.

This project is a partnership between the City of Monett and MoDOT.

Weather and/or scheduling delays could alter the work schedule.
