Dix Road Overpass Work Postponed

JEFFERSON CITY – A major road closure in Missouri’s capital is being postponed to a later date.

Contractors for the Missouri Department of Transportation had planned to begin making improvements to the Dix Road bridge over U.S. Route 50 on Wednesday, September 11. That project is being pushed back to later this month.

The project will last several weeks, including a 15-day period in which Dix Road will be completely closed to traffic. Motorists will need to find alternate routes around the work zone during that time.

MoDOT will keep travelers informed of future dates for this project via the Central District social media pages, on their website at modot.org/central, and via the Traveler Information Map.

For more information and updates about this project or other transportation-related matters, please call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636).
