Crawford County Bridge Deck Replacement Approved by Commission

BOLIVAR - At its regular meeting today, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission approved a contract to replace the deck of the Crawford County Route CC bridge over Brush Creek. The contract was awarded to E and C Bridge, which submitted the low bid of $476,303.25.

The current bridge, located northeast of Cuba, was built in 1963 and has reached a point where replacement is necessary. The bridge deck will be widened by two feet, improving safety for travelers. This bridge is included in Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program passed by the Missouri General Assembly during its 2019 session. The program appropriated $50 million in state general revenue to fund 45 high priority bridge projects throughout the state.

When work begins, Route CC will be closed for up to 60 days. A start date for work on the bridge, located northeast of Cuba, has not yet been established. MoDOT will alert the public with updates through signs, news releases and social media.
