UPDATE: Platte River Bridge on Route O near Cosby reopening delayed

COSBY, Mo. – The Platte River Bridge on Route O, just west of Cosby, has been closed since mid-March of this year. About that same time, flooding began impacting roads and construction projects across Northwest Missouri. This bridge replacement project was no exception. Contractors from Widel, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, have been working to reconstruct the bridge as weather has allowed, but the planned reopening has been pushed back one month. If weather allows, the bridge is now scheduled to reopen to all traffic at the end of October.

Visit the project’s webpage to learn more about the plans for the new bridge and to sign up for project-specific updates via email at https://www.modot.org/route-o-platte-river-bridge-replacement
