COLUMBIA – Pavement repairs will begin on U.S. Route 63 in northern Boone County this Thursday.
The repairs were originally planned to begin today, September 3, but due to unforeseen delays with the contractor’s schedule, the Missouri Department of Transportation postponed the project for two days.
Continuous lane drops will be ongoing on northbound and southbound Route 63 between the Randolph County line and Missouri Route 763/Rangeline. Weather permitting, the pavement work will begin the morning of September 5, and will be completed this fall.
One lane in each direction of Route 63 will be open at all times, but motorists will need to use caution, slow down, and pay attention to crews and work zone signage.
