COLUMBIA – As part of an ongoing sidewalk and pedestrian improvements project in Columbia, the west entrance of Anthony Street at the intersection of Route 763 (College Avenue) will be closing to traffic after Labor Day weekend.
The closure will allow crews to perform electrical work for signal improvements and make the path across the intersection compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the entrance to the roadway on the morning of September 3 and plan to re-open the entrance on September 9, weather permitting.
All properties along Anthony Street will still be accessible to traffic. Motorists will need to use the east entrance of the street at the intersection of North William Street.
