Roadwork Planned for Routes in Marion County

HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, MoDOT will be working on routes in Marion County. Please see the dates and locations below.

Marion County Route W – September 4-6, the road will be reduced to one lane traffic from the Marion County Health Department in Hannibal to Veteran’s Road for roadside operations. The work will be completed between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Marion County U.S. Route 36 Eastbound – September 10, the road will be reduced to one lane from one mile west of the Mark Twain Bridge to the end of the bridge for a walking bridge inspection. The work will be completed between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

Marion County North Outer Road of U.S. 36 (Jimmy O’Donnell Drive) – September 11, the road will be closed from Head Lane to Shinn Lane in Hannibal for seal coat operations. The work will be completed between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Marion County South Outer Road of U.S. 36 (Near Fiddlestiks) – September 12, the road will be reduced to one lane traffic from Head Lane to Shinn Lane in Hannibal for seal coat overlay operations. The work will be completed between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and flaggers will be used for traffic control.

Motorists can expect delays and will need to use caution when traveling through the work zones during these times or will need to use alternate routes for stated closures. Please remember to obey all work zone signs and personnel, and put down your cell phone to help eliminate distractions.
