Rescheduled: U.S. Route 36 ramp closures planned

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Due to weather, the resurfacing of the U.S. Route 36 and U.S. Route 169 (Belt Hwy) on and off ramps scheduled to begin today is now expected to begin tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 22, weather permitting. Local crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close the westbound on and off ramps on Thursday, Aug. 22 and complete the eastbound ramps on Monday, Aug. 26. The ramps will close between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. each day, weather permitting.

Motorists will need to use an alternate route during the closure. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
