Multiple Lane Closures Scheduled for Next Week along I-435

JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation crews are completing critical concrete paving work over the next week that will impact I-435. 

HAPPENING TONIGHT: Crews will CLOSE the inside left lane of eastbound I-435 at 7 p.m. and it will REMAIN CLOSED until Monday Aug. 26. The lane will close at State Line Road to just past Holmes Road. This will move traffic to the three exit lanes only. No express lanes. This will ALSO close the southbound State Line Road entrance ramp to eastbound I-435. When complete, traffic will return to a new configuration of four continuous lanes.

In addition, crews will close the following lanes for pavement construction throughout the week: 

Friday, Aug. 16: Crews will close the left two lanes of westbound I-435 from the Three Trails Crossing to Holmes Road from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Saturday, Aug. 17:  Crews will have closed BOTH left lanes on eastbound I-435 before State Line to Blue River Bridge from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Sunday, Aug. 18: Crews will close the left inside lane of westbound I-435 from Three Trails Crossing to Holmes Road from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for bridge construction. 

Monday, Aug. 19: Crews will the left inside lane of westbound I-435 from the Three Trails Crossing to Holmes road from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  They will also close a second lane of eastbound I-435 from State Line Road to the Blue River Bridge from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. 

Tuesday, Aug. 20: Crews will close the inside left lane of westbound I-435 from Three Trails to Holmes Road from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. They will also close a second lane of eastbound I-435 from State Line Road to Blue River Bridge from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Wednesday, Aug. 21: Close an additional left lane of eastbound I-435 from State Line Road to Blue River Bridge from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. 

Thursday, Aug.22: Close an additional left lane of eastbound I-435 from State Line Road to Blue River Bridge from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project which will replace the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitate the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, upgrade the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane.
