CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will NO LONGER close the northbound I-35 off-ramp at Route 152 (Kansas Street.) this weekend as previously scheduled.
Instead, crews will reduce northbound I-35 at Route 152 (Kansas St.) to one lane nightly, from 7 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2 and again Saturday, Aug. 3 for road construction work.
However, the lane closure could cause delays and large queues at the northbound off-ramp. Please plan ahead.
The is all part of a project to replace the Route 152 Bridge over I-35, make improvements to Kansas Street and Route 291; including adding wider lanes and additional turn lanes. It will also address bicycle and pedestrian needs along the corridor, and a multiple-use path along the south side of Route 152 and Kansas Street. The project is expected to be completed in 2020. This project is in partnership with the Cities of Liberty and Kansas City. All work is weather dependent.
