Road Work for Mid-Missouri

August 5-16, 2019

JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of August 5-16, 2019. The projects listed will include lane closures that could cause traffic delays. Full roadway closures are also noted. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 63 over Bonne Femme Creek, south of Discovery Parkway – Bridge rehabilitation in the northbound lanes continues. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-August.

Route 124 over Grindstone Creek, west of Route 63 – New bridge construction is complete. The bridge was opened to traffic on July 29.  

Route AC (Grindstone Parkway) over Route 63 – Bridge rehabilitation is complete. The bridge was opened to traffic on July 30.

Route 163 between Route H and Route K – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 163 (Providence Road) between Interstate 70 and Route K – Signal upgrades, sidewalk repair and ADA improvements in various locations continue. The project is scheduled for completion in August, 2020.

Route 763 (College Avenue) between Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) and Business Loop 70 – Signal upgrades, sidewalk repair and ADA improvements in various locations continue. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route Y between Route M and Route J in Callaway County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route OO between Route 124 and Route Z – Paving will take place Monday, August 5 through Friday, August 9.


Callaway County
Daylight Hours
Route C between Route VV and County Road 445 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, August 5. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route C between County Road 425 and County Road 426 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Tuesday, August 6. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route C between County Road 420 and Old Quarry Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Wednesday, August 7. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route C at County Road 404 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Thursday, August 8. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route O between Route D and State Street – Resurfacing, shoulder additions and ADA improvements continue.  The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route Y between Route J and Route M in Boone County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Camden County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 54 and Pier Thirty-One Road – Roadside maintenance continues. The project is scheduled for completion in late August.  

Route J over the Little Niangua River north of Deer Meadow Road
- New bridge construction continues. The roadway is closed until late August.

Route KK between Osage Beach Parkway and Turkey Bend Road – Sidewalk improvements and signal installation will take place the week of August 5.


Cole County
Daylight Hours
Route 63 between Route 50 and Route 28 in Maries County – Concrete repair continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route C between Route 54 and Route 52 in Morgan County – Guardrail installation, milling and resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route N between Route NN and Route 87 in Moniteau County – Roadway patching will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 15.


Cooper County
Daylight Hours
Route 87 between Route 5 and Route O in Moniteau County – Microsurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in September.

Route AA between Cotton Drive and Oakland Church Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 15.


Crawford County
Daylight Hours
Route 8 between Route 19 and Industrial Drive – Drainage rut repair will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 8.

Route 8 between Route E and Route Y – Shoulder repair will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 8.

Route 19 between Interstate 44 Outer Road and Main Street – ADA improvements continue. The project is scheduled for completion in December.

Route 19 between Interstate 44 and Route 8 – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 8.

Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement marking will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 8.

Route PP between Route 19 and Bass Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 8.

Route KK between Route ZZ and Route 8 in Phelps County – Pavement repair will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 8.

Interstate Outer Road 44 between Route H and Route C – Roadway resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in late August.


Dent County
Daylight Hours
Route CC between Route H and Route C in Texas County – Pavement repair will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 15.

Route TT between Route 19 and County Road 4020 – Repairs to low water crossings will take place Monday, August 12 through Thursday, August 15. The road will be closed on Tuesday, August 13 and Wednesday, August 14. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the area.


Gasconade County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route T over Bourbeuse River – New bridge construction continues. The bridge is closed until December.

Daylight Hours
Route B over Dry Fork, south of Route CC – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 8.

Route D between Route A and Route 89 in Osage County - Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 5 through Friday, August 16.


Howard County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 87 between Route 5 and Route 40 – Resurfacing, shoulder addition and culvert pipe replacement in various locations continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route Y between Route 124 and County Road 135 – Roadway patching will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 15. 


Laclede County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 Outer Road over the Gasconade River, west of Route 133 –Bridge replacement is complete. Occasional lane closures are possible through August, for cleanup work.


Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 63 between Route 28 and Route 50 in Cole County – Concrete repair continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route N between Route 28 and Route 133 – Roadway patching will take place Monday, August 12 through Thursday, August 15.


Miller County
Daylight Hours
Route Z between Route W and Route Y –
Pavement repair will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 8.

Route CC between Route 52 and Route OO – Pull paving will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 15.


Moniteau County
Daylight Hours
Route 87 between Route O and Route 5 in Cooper County – Microsurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in September.

Route C between Route 54 in Cole County and Route 52 in Morgan County – Guardrail installation, milling and resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route C between Route CC and Route 52 in Morgan County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 8.

Route N between Route 87 and Route NN in Cole County – Roadway patching will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 15.

Route O at Painters Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 15.

Business Route 50 between Roache Street and Thomas Street – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 15.


Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route 135 between Route M and Pyrmont Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, August 5.

Route C between Route 52 and Route 54 in Cole County – Guardrail installation, milling and resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route C between Route 52 and Route CC in Moniteau County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 8.


Osage County
Daylight Hours
Route 63 at Route 133 – The roadway is open as intersection improvements continue.  The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 63 between Route 50 in Cole County and Route 28 in Maries County – Concrete repair continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route C between Route 100 and Route A – Chip seal and guardrail installation is underway. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route D between Route 89 and Route A in Gasconade County - Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 5 through Friday, August 16.

Route P between Route 63 and Route 133 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, August 5 through Friday, August 16.

Route T between Route 63 and Route AA – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, August 5 through Friday, August 16.

Route W between Route 50 to Route A – Chip seal and guardrail installation continues. The project is scheduled for completion in October.


Phelps County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route V over Interstate 44 – Pavement replacement will begin on Friday, August 16. The bridge and entrance and exit ramps at the interchange will be closed. The project is scheduled for completion in late August.

Overnight Hours
Route 63 between Interstate 44 and Route CC – Roadway resurfacing and sidewalk repair continues. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Daylight Hours
Route 68 between Route 8 and Route JJ – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 15.

Route BB between County Road 3220 and County Road 3410 – Culvert pipe replacement continues. The road will be closed in each culvert pipe replacement area.

Route JJ between Route 68 and County Road 4110 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 15.

Route KK between Route 8 and Route ZZ in Crawford County – Pavement repair will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 8.


Pulaski County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route H between Route 17 and the end of state maintenance – Roadway resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route Z between Business Loop 44 and Route J – Roadway resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Interstate 44 Spur between Route Y and Gateway Circle – Pavement milling and resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between mile marker 145 and mile marker 156 – Pavement resurfacing and High Friction Surface Treatment installation continues. The project is scheduled for completion in August.

Daylight Hours
Route T between Route 17 and Route 133 – Pavement repair will take place on Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 8.


Washington County
Daylight Hours
Route T between Route 185 and Route A – Pull paving will take place Monday, August 5 through Thursday, August 8.
