Greene County Route TT CLOSED at Pickerel Creek

Starting August 12 for Bridge Replacement Project

Greene County – Greene County Route TT north of Republic will CLOSE Monday, August 12, when a project starts to replace the aging Pickerel Creek bridge, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The roadway will remain closed until early December.

During the project, crews will remove the existing one-lane bridge and replace it with a new wider bridge that will accommodate two 12-foot driving lanes.

During the construction of the new bridge, Route TT will remain closed to traffic. Also, Greene County Farm Road 55 at Route TT will be closed.

Drivers will be able to get to driveways and field entrances, but will not be able to cross the bridge on Route TT or access Route TT from Farm Road 55.

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.

The existing Pickerel Creek bridge was built in 1956 and is single lane. Greene County Route TT carries approximately 240 vehicles a day.

Lehman Construction Company of California is the prime contractor.

The total estimate cost of the project is $873,000.

The project is scheduled for completion by December 1, 2019.
