TRAFFIC ALERT:

Greene County Route M at Republic High School OPEN in New Roundabout Configuration

What: Greene County Route M, Greene County Farm Road 103 and Repmo Drive (north entrance to Republic High School) OPEN to traffic in a new roundabout traffic configuration 

When: 2:30 p.m. today (Thursday, August 1) 

Traffic Impacts:

  • All legs of intersection open to traffic
  • Drivers entering roundabout must yield to traffic already in the intersection
  • Roundabout speed limit: 15 mph
  • All construction activities associated with the roundabout are complete
  • City Utilities installing new gas line north of roundabout which is not a part of the project 

Project Summary:

  • Partnership project between MoDOT, the City of Republic and the Republic School District
  • Prime contractor on the project is APAC-Central of Springfield
  • Estimated total project cost is $2.3 million  (shared by MoDOT, the city, and the school district) 

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule
