Work Will Cause Lane and Ramp Closures at Route 210 and I-435 July 29

CLAY COUNTY –MoDOT Kansas City will make the following traffic changes as part of the Route 210 and I-435 interchange improvement project. The following closures may cause lengthy delays. Please plan ahead. All work is weather permitting.

MONDAY, JULY 29

  • Beginning at 7 a.m., crews will close the left lane of westbound MO Route 210 at I-435 until approximately 3 p.m. for pavement marking work.
  • Beginning at 7 p.m. this evening, crews will:
  • Close the right lane of southbound I-435 from 48th to MO Route 210 until approximately 5:30 a.m. for paving work.
  • Close the ramp from southbound I-435 to MO Route 210 until approximately 5:30 a.m. for paving work.
  • Close the ramp from MO Route 210 to southbound I-435 until approximately 5:30 a.m. for paving work.
  • Beginning at 9 p.m., crews will close the ramp from Parvin Rd. to southbound I-435 until 5:30 a.m. for paving work.

This is all part of a project to build a new diverging diamond interchange for I-435 and Route 210, which includes replacing the old twin bridges over I-435 and Route 210 and widening I-435. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
