Work will cause lane and ramp closures on Route 210 and I-435

CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will make the following traffic changes as part of the Route 210 and I-435 interchange improvement project. The following closures may cause traffic delays. Please plan ahead. All work is weather dependent.

Friday 7/26/19

  • 7 pm close two left lanes NB I-435 @ Mo210 until 5:30 am (asphalt paving)
  • 7 pm close the right lane SB I-435 @ 48th St to Mo 210 until 5:30 am (asphalt paving)
  • 7 pm close the ramp from SB I-435 to Mo 210 until 5:30 am (asphalt paving)
  • 7 pm close the ramp from Mo 210 to NB I-435 until 5:30 am (asphalt paving)
  • 10 pm close the ramp from Parvin Rd to SB I-435 until 5:30 am (patching work)

 Saturday 7/27/19

  • Traffic Pattern Change: Open WB Mo210 to two lanes @ I-435
  • 7 pm close two left lanes NB I-435 @ Mo210 until 5:30 am (asphalt paving)
  • 7 pm close the right lane SB I-435 @ 48th St to Mo 210 until 5:30 am (asphalt paving)
  • 7 pm close the ramp from SB I-435 to Mo 210 until 5:30 am (asphalt paving)
  • 7 pm close the ramp from Mo 210 to NB I-435 until 5:30 am (asphalt paving)
  • 10 pm close the ramp from Parvin Rd to SB I-435 until 5:30 am (asphalt paving)

 Monday 7/29/19

  • 9 am close the left lane WB Mo210 @ I-435 until 3 pm (pavement marking)

This is all part of a project to build a new diverging diamond interchange for I-435 and Route 210, which includes replacing the old twin bridges over I-435 and Route 210 and widening I-435.  

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
