Road Work for Mid-Missouri

January 23, 2017 - February 3, 2017

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of January 23-February 3, 2017. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continue in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 63 between Route 763 and Route WW – Pavement repair and resurfacing in the northbound and southbound lanes continues. 
       * Striping of the Route 63 and Route WW interchange, and the Route 63 and Route AC interchange, are scheduled for the week of January 23. Work will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.


Callaway County
Daylight Hours
Route D between Interstate 70 and Route 94 - Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, January 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Camden County
Daylight Hours
Route BB between Route 7 and Route H in Laclede County - Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Tuesday, January 31. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Cole County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Business Route 50 (Missouri Boulevard) between Route 50 and Virginia Street - Sidewalk and pedestrian improvements continue.

Scheduled Work Highlights During the Week of January 23:

  • Curb, gutter, sidewalk, paved approaches, and island work is scheduled on both the south and north side of Missouri Boulevard and Whitton Expressway.
  • Electrical work will take place at the intersection of Missouri Boulevard and Whitton Expressway. 
  • There will be periodic lane closures in the eastbound and westbound lanes of Missouri Boulevard near Whitton Expressway from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. There will also be right turn lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Routes 50/63 between Clark Avenue and Monroe Street – Roadway lighting installation in the eastbound/northbound and westbound/southbound lanes will take place Tuesday, January 24 and Wednesday, January 25. One eastbound/northbound lane and one westbound/southbound lane will be open through the work area.


Crawford County
Daylight Hours
Route 8 between Route 19 and Route BB – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 49 between Route 19 and Route Y in Iron County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route V between Route 49 and Route Y – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route AA between Route 19 and Cherryville Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Interstate 44 North Outer Road (Frontage Road) between Route H and the Franklin County line – Culvert pipe replacement is complete. Some work remains. Minimal traffic delays are expected.


Dent County

Route 19 between Route 68 and Route TT – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route F between Route 32 and Route E – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Gasconade County

Route H between Route 19 and Route E – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Howard County
Daylight Hours
Route 87 between Route E and Route AA – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, January 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 87 between Route 5 and Route Z – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, January 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route CC between County Road 411 and County Road 415 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Thursday, January 26. The road will be closed from 6:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.


Laclede County
Daylight Hours
Interstate 44 between mile marker 134 and mile marker 145 – Pavement repair in the eastbound lanes will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route 5 between Sixth Street and Vance Street – Sidewalk and signal improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are possible through the work area.

Route O between Route 5 and Route 95 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route T between Interstate 44 and Route H in Camden County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route W between Route A and Business Loop 44 – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route JJ between Route F and Route T – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Maries County

Route 42 between Route 28 and Route Z – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, January 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 133 between Route 52 and Route EE in Osage County – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Miller County

Route 42 between Route C and Route U – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route M between Route 54 and Saline Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, January 24 through Friday, January 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route CC between Route 52 and Route OO – Roadside maintenance will take place Wednesday, February 1 and Thursday, February 2. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route FF between Route 54 and Route A in Cole County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 30 and Tuesday, January 31. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route MM between Route 54 and Devonshire Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Thursday, January 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Moniteau County

Route D between Route O and Route U – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3.  One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Morgan County

Route 135 over Flat Creek, south of Black Jack Road - Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Route 5 and Morgan Hill Road – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, January 23 and Tuesday, January 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route FF between Route 52 and Mulberry Drive – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Thursday, January 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route NN between Route 135 and Juniper Lane – Roadside maintenance will take place on Wednesday, January 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Phelps County
Daylight Hours
Route B between County Road 1000 and the Gasconade County line – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route NN between Route 68 and Benton Creek Road in Crawford County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Pulaski County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 17 between Route H and Route T – Pavement improvements and grading continue.
       * Curb and gutter work, grading and roadway lighting are scheduled for the week of January 23. Minimal traffic delays are expected.


Washington County
Daylight Hours
Route 185 between Route 8 and the Franklin County line – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, January 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route E between Route 47 and Route CC – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, January 23 through Friday, January 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
