Work will cause a series of ramp/lane closures along I-35

JACKSON COUNTY – Guardrail work will cause a series of ramp closures along I-35 near downtown Kansas City beginning Monday, Feb. 20. All work is weather dependent.


Listed below are the locations of closures and times:

  • The ramp on eastbound I-670 to southbound I-35 from 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20 through 6 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21.
  • The ramp and right lane on southbound I-35 to 20th St. from 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 through 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22.
  • The left lane on southbound I-35 between 17th St. and 20th St. from 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22 to 6 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 and from 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 to 6 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24. 
  • The ramp on westbound I-670 to southbound I-35 from 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22 to 6 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 and from 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 to 6 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24.
     
    ****Footnote: Ramp closures may be accompanied by lane closures.


Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
