SIKESTON—The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 21 to discuss upcoming improvements to the Route 72 bridge over Stouts Creek in Iron County. The meeting will be held at Arcadia Valley Schools in the Middle School/High School Cafeteria, located at Park Drive in Ironton, Mo.

"Visitors can stop-by anytime between 4 and 6 p.m. to discuss the details of the project with a member of the project team and provide their comments," said Project Manager Jason Williams.

The project includes replacing the Route 72 bridge over Stouts Creek, located east of Arcadia, Mo. Two alternates will be shared during the meeting. One alternate includes constructing the new bridge north of the existing structure. The other includes replacing the bridge on the existing alignment, which would result in a road closure during construction.

The project is expected to be under construction throughout summer 2018.
