Bridge Replacement Project to Begin in Putnam County

UNIONVILLE, Mo. – The South Branch Shoal Creek Bridge on Route CC is going to be replaced this spring. The bridge is located on Route CC approximately two miles north of Route 129.

Contractors from Chester Bross Construction Company of Palmyra, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, plan to close Route CC on Monday, March 13 to begin removing and replacing the old bridge. The project is anticipated to continue through mid-May. During the project, motorists will need to seek an alternate route.

All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
