MoDOT to close western outer road connection to Route 141 next week

ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use the I-44 north outer road in Valley Park will need to allow a little extra time to get around starting next week.

The Missouri Department of Transportation and its contractor, Pace Construction, will close the western ramp connecting southbound Route 141 and the north outer road before morning rush on Monday, February 27.

This closure is part of on-going work to update and rebuild the connections between Route 141, I-44 and the north outer road as a part of the Route 141 Design Build project in Valley Park. The connection will remain closed until mid-summer 2017.

To detour around the closure, take Route 141 south, turn left onto South Highway Drive and bear to the right. Take South Highway Drive to the Maritz overpass, turn left and then turn left onto North Highway Drive. Take North Highway Drive to the roundabout and access the north outer road. Details on the detour are available here: http://www.modot.org/stlouis/major_projects/documents/2017NORdetour.pdf
